My prediction for the end of Lord of the Flies is that, Jack and his group will over take the remaining boys with Ralph and they will force them to join his group. Ralph will be left alone or killed and the boys won't ever be saved because Jack doesn't understand the importance of the fire.

(i did no have the packet for this blog assignment so i did not know how long you wanted it to be.)

I thought Lord of the Flies was a very good book that conveyed many messages. It was hard to understand in certain situations but once you understood the scene then you couldn't stop reading because you wanted to know what would happen so badly. The end was what surprised me the most. I also didn't expect for Piggy or Simon to die, I was most surprised that not 1 but 2 main characters died, that usually doesn't happen in books. My group did okay, we could have done better. I think we could have worked harder and gotten our work done on time. For the most part we did good for being first time partners, only having 2 people, and our communication was good. I wouldn't mind having Abbi as a partner again but i would be more comfortable with someone else probably. She was a good partner and did her work, and helped, and she worked hard.

In chapter 11 the boys try to light a fire in the cold without Piggy's glasses but it's hopeless. They meet on the beach and decide to go try to talk to Jack. Once they get to Jack's camp there are guards and they throw rocks at Ralph, Piggy, and the twins (Sam and Eric). Then Jack comes out of the woods, sees Ralph and they start fighting. Jack tells Ralph to leave and Ralph refuses to leave without Piggy's glasses. Ralph and Jack start fighting again and Piggy yells at them to stop and understand Ralph's point but Roger pushes a boulder down the mountain side and Ralph hears it falling and lunges out of its path. The boulder hits Piggy, shatters the conch and crushes Piggy. Jack and the boys try killing Ralph but he escapes into the forest and Roger and Jack force the twins (Sam and Eric) to join Jack's tribe.

Opinion of the Book

                                                               Opinion of the Book

I personally think that the book was really confusing. I didn't really understand it, and i kept forgettin everything i read. It wasn't very intersting to me either. I also think its really boring. It's just not my favorite book to read.
Mikayla and I basically split the work evenly. Sometimes it was harder since there was only two of us. We made it work though. We both missed a couple days which made it harder because we were behind. But we each did our part in everything, so it was good.

Chapter 12 Summary

                                                               Chapter 12 Summary

In Chapter twelve, Ralph is hiding from the other tribe. Since they just killed Piggy, he knows he is next. He talks to Samernic, and he tells Ralph that Jack is planning on hunting him. So he needs to be careful. Ralph then finds the sow's head, and decides to take the stake that the head was on and use it as a weapon against Jack. He then realizes the Jack set the jungle on fire to get him to leave. He is chased by Jack and his warriors until he gets to the beach where he passes out.
When Ralph wakes up, he notices a Naval officer standing in front of him. The officer says that his ship seen the forest fire and decide to come check it out. He assumes that the boys were just messing around, when he finds out what really has been happening; he is very dissappointed. The boys are in such shock that someone is here to rescue them, they start crying. The officer turns his back so they could get themselve back together.

Chapter 10 Summary

                                                            Chapter 10 Summarry

In chapter ten, they are trying to build another fire. They are hoping get peoples attention and eventually get rescued. Except the fire is not making very much smoke, so they have to keep getting more firewood, and Piggy's asthma starts acting up. Then they notice Sam and Eric fighting, and Ralph and Piggy go an break it up.
When Piggy and Ralph are in their shelter they hear some people talking to them. So they go outside and realize it's Jack and his group of boys. So they all get in a fight. And Piggy and Ralph get kind of hurt. Everything turns out okay though, and they tell the littluns that

Book Ending

I think at the end of the book, everyone will end up dead. Some people might die by accident, but I think most of them will end up killing each other. Everyone is already starting to get on each others nerves, and they aren't agreeing with each other either.
I don't think that Ralph's dad is going to find rescue them one day. But he won't get there until years later once they are all already dead. All their familys are going to be so sad. The book is going to end with the parents taking their kids bodies back home on the ship.

                             ~Abbi
In chapter 9 Simon wakes up bleeding and hurt as a storm is approaching. He finds an open field and there are flies surrounding the figure in the field. He found the man in the parachute in the field and realized he was dead and felt bad for him. Meanwhile Piggy and Ralph decided to join Jack and the other boys at Jack's party. Jack and the boys started to dance and chant and celebrate around the fire while Piggy and Ralph joined in. Then it began to storm and Ralph began to argue with Jack because they had no shelter. Then Simon came crawling out of the woods and the boys surrounded him in their celebration dance. He was screaming about the man in the parachute and they began stabbing him and beating him. They were acting like he was the pig and they killed him and then in the storm the man in the parachute was carried out of the woods by the wind and Simon and him were carried out to sea by the waves and the storm winds.
